Digital rituals and storykeeping
Digital rituals and storykeeping
Sharleen Smith is a digital artist working with interactive and networked systems. Her projects explore digital ritual, memory, and participation through browser-based environments and physical systems.
The practice investigates how technology can hold memory, gesture, and collective participation. In some projects, the web becomes a space for story-keeping — a medium for gathering and holding personal and cultural narratives over time.
She also teaches in NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program.
